Weekend Round Up

I love weekends, it is two full days that I get to spend with my family.  My weekends are nothing like what they use in my late teens, early twenties =) but they are still just as fun.

On Saturday we a very sweet little boys first Birthday party.  My friends Karen and Jeff did amazing job decorating for Bennys birthday.  They had a great craft table for the kids and a lot of yummy food.

                I wish we could have got a pick of the center pieces on the table but by this time the kids were playing with them

After the birthday party we went to my parents place (they are out of town) to take advantage of their Barbecue as we do not have one at our apartment and invited some friends to join us.

Sunday we ran errands in the morning. Came home so the kids could nap was going to go out again but Ryleigh surprised us by taking a 4 1/2 hour nap.

All and all pretty good weekend


                                       

Soothers

So I will admit it Logan still has his soother.  Yes he is on his way to three.  However in my defense he only use it for bedtime, naptime and on the rare occasion if comfort from Dave or myself does not work. His addiction started at about 4 months when I found his preferred soother, and so did the late nights of waking for it till he could learn to put it in his mouth.

 Now is the big question when is the time for him to give it up? How old is to old for a soother? Do we let him self wean or do we make him give it up? This is the question that Dave and I ask ourselves quite often.  So after the last discussion that we had regarding it we have given him till the end of July, we will be travelling to Nova Scotia the middle of July and would like him to have it on the plane. So for now we will let him have his beloved "sussie"

Prefect Madness

Prefect Madness this is my life from the moment my children wake up till they go to bed.  This is the life that I have wanted for as long as I could remember. So here I am jumping on the blog bandwagon... why you ask well I am not the best on keeping up with the milestones and what not that goes on with my children or our life as a family. I mean I still have not finished my two year old baby book and I have not even started my 5 months old ooopps. I often ask my mom about what I was doing at my childrens age and she can not remember.  I want to remember and  I want Logan and Ryleigh to be able to have memories of their childhood so with this blog I will be able to look back and relive the moments with them.  One of my favourite gifts that my mom gave me one Christmas was a scrapbook that she made for me with all these precious childhood crafts, report cards, projects, swimming lessons report cards and pictures.

I'm not any more interesting that anyone else who posts their personal information on the Internet however I have friends who write blogs, ones that check blogs  so now they can check mine. Also my spelling sucks and my grammar is even worse but this is supposed to be stream of conscience. My thoughts sure as hell don't know anything about grammar. So please excuse all that and hope you can look past that enough to read this blog.

Well I guess that is enough for now as Logan is screaming for attention, I will be back soon.
